BTC weekly mining reports(April-May)
We analyzed the mining difficulty change of BTC over the past week. We hope this report would help you to get a better understanding about the mining industry.
The graph shows the difficulty change in BTC from the 11th March to 31st May. It has taken from the website: btc.com.
As you can notice that the mining difficulty fluctuates every two weeks as the network adjusts the difficulty at intervals of 14 days to maintain a block time of 10 minutes. The most significant increase in difficulty occurred on May 31st, when the difficulty went up by 11.26%, the reason behind this is that when the BTC price increased for four consecutive weeks and the summer surge begins, a great number of miners have started their machines again.
From the chart, it is obvious that the breaking even days depend on the BTC price and the power efficiency. Assuming that the BTC price remins at $8,000, it will cost you 140 days to reach breaking even point for Antminer S17+53T.
